ESD451: Using ESD451DPLR for GNSS antenna protection

Part Number: ESD451

Hi @ti team,

Currently we are planning to use ESD451DPLR in the GNSS antenna path near to the on board UFL connector to which a 3.3V supported active antenna is going to get connected. Can you please let me know whether this diode is suitable for the same.

  • Hi Sai,

Short answer is yes, this diode is suitable.

The 3.3V is lower than the diode VRWM. I would also look at the insertion loss graph just to make sure this is okay. Insertion loss is low for the frequencies GNSS use (around -2.5dB). Look at the graph below.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Bryan
