TL16C752D: Will the TL16C752D go EOL?

Part Number: TL16C752D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL16C752C,

Hi team,

Is the TL16C752D series usable as a replacement for the TL16C752C?
Is the reason TL16C752D is not listed as a recommended replacement because it is also planned for EOL?

Best Regards,

Shota

Yes, we recommend customers use the D version if they can.

I am not aware of a EOL plan for the D version right now. The D version is in the latest process node technology, from my own understanding we don't EOL unless we have to refresh process node technology or something in the build can't be sourced (like a leadframe). Since this process node is still relatively new, I don't think EOL is planned for it.

  • Hi Bobby-san,

    I have one additional question.

Could you please explain why it was not listed as an EOL replacement in the PCN?

  • Hi Shota-san,

Bobby is out of office for the rest of this week. He will return on Tuesday 1/20.

  • Hi Ethan-san, Bobby-san,

I look forward to your response to my questions.

  • Hi Shota,

I'm not sure why the PCN did not list it as a functional replacement. The D version is pin to pin with it and the register map should be the same between the two devices.

EDIT 1/22/2026: the only thing I would call out is that since they are technically differently designed dies, the customer would still need to validate the the D version to ensure it meets their standards.
