Booting stopped here in some cases .

Is it related to eMMC failure itself ?

  • Hi Ninad,

Thank you for creating this separate thread. I'll add link to the original thread this one stems from.

Please allow me some time to internally check. I'll get back to you later today.

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

  • Hi Ninad,

I would like to apologize for my delayed response here.

I am adding the link to the related thread :

AM62L: eMMC Boot Failure in some boards

onto which, as you know, we are still working together with our U-Boot/ Linux eMMC driver expert - Prashant.

Q1. Can you confirm that the above log (with errors highlighted in orange below) is observed when you tried booting Kernel in U-Boot set to operate at HS200 ?  To me it seems that some of the eMMC read access operations sporadically failed, which caused unsuccessful Linux boot.

Q2: Is the same issue reproduced after constraining the  eMMC_CLK freq. = 52 MHz in U-Boot ?

    Thanks

    Best Regards

    Anastas Yordanov
