Dear TI Engineer,
We used TUSB1104 as the Redriver for Type-C ports and found in our testing that when using a 20Gbps hard drive for read and write, the write speed can reach 1300M. The read speed is slightly slower, but it can still meet the requirements.
But when we tested a 10Gbps hard drive, two of the three testing devices encountered problems during testing, with poor read and write speeds that caused them to freeze. We tried restarting the device with it plugged in, and there is a 50% chance that it will work properly.
We use software tools for reading and writing, copying folders directly and writing to a portable drive is basically okay. However, when copying to a computer, the first 8 seconds can still reach 900Mbps, but after a few seconds there is no data and enter freezes.
We tried different EQ gains, but none of them worked. The schematic is as below:
Can you help analyze the cause of the problem?
