SN65DSI83: SN65DSI83 I2C address

Part Number: SN65DSI83

This is my schematic diagram. Most of the time, through Linux tools, I can communicate with the IC using address 0x2C, but occasionally the address changes to 0x2D.  Is the schematic diagram wrong?

  • Hi Hailei,

If the device ADDR pin is connected to 1.8V rail, the address will be 0x2D. If it is connected to directly to ground, the address will be 0x2C. Note that these are 7-bit addresses.

Is the controller successfully reading/writing the registers with the 0x2C address? You could also try it connecting directly to ground by replacing the ADDR 1kOhm resistor with a 0-Ohm resistor.

    Best regards,
    Ikram
