Hi Bogey,
Good impedance matching is always important in designs of this nature and should be carefully planed for by your customer. Signals that are not properly matched at the higher data rates (KR-10.3125Gbps) will more than likely cause your customer unwanted headaches as they go through the design process. System modeling via a tool such as ADS is a good way for your customer to design their boards with all of its interconnects so that they can have a good understanding of how their design will behave before producing anything at a fab house. We do have IBIS_AMI models for the TLK10232 that we can share with your customer if they are interested in taking this type of approach. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I will be glad to follow up with you. I hope this helps.
Regards,
Mike
