I have been working with Julie Nirchi and Mosies Garcia from Texas Instruments on the design of the HDMI port on a project. I am having several issues that we have not been able to fine root cause. There were 4 basic issues that were identified during testing and they are as follows:
1. ESD testing HDMI blinks off and then comes back on (suggested solution will be to add TPD2EUSB30/A to the output of D0P/D0N, D1P/D1N, D2P/D2N and CLKP/CLKN)
2. HDMI will not work until power is removed and reconnected intermittent issue (suggested solution will be to use TPS3808 to reset OE signal instead of Capacitor)
3. HDMI will only work on shorter cable 15' will not work with cable 30' (root cause has not been determined)
4. EMI scans failing Class "A" limits (root cause not yet determined. Data for the scans have been attached see 2 folder above. There were 12 configuration that had various things that changed from using ferrite beads on power input, to using common mode chock on the input of power, to changing R61 from 0 ohm resister to 600 ohm inductor or 1K ohm inductor. While there was a little improvement the inductor work slightly better but still not able to pass Class "A" limits let alone Class "B". See attached folds for Data scans)
I have also attached my schematic for this project as well for your convenience. Not sure if you are able to open the files or not though. Thanks for the help.
