DP141RLJEVM: DP Test Fail issue

Dear SIr 

Our test structure as below 

DP source => 5m cable => DP141EVM => 5m cable => Agilent W2641B

Use EVM default setting but the result is fail ,test report as below 

Please kindly help to confirm

1. We test DP141EVM ,but DP141 EVM default setting have many test fail ,test report as attached file

Do you have the test report for DP1.2b??

(test environment is 5m cable to DP141EVM to 5m cable ) and PS8460EVM pass all of test  

2. We find DP141 EVM doesn’t have resistor on the EVM

Do you have recommend setting guide for different cable condition ? or application note for cable ?

3.What’s large input swing’s mean ?

Does it mean if use DP141 for large input swing ,DC GAIN need to set -6dB ?

    Hi Kai,

    For DP1.2 we recommend DP130, for DP1.3/1.4 we recommend TUSB546-DCI.

    For DP130, could you check DP130's DPCD registers have the right configuration? data rate, VOD and PE?

    DP141 is a linear redriver, it doesn't have control of DE, VOD or data rate, it will retransmit the input signal adding some gain.

    DP141's table 3 mention EQ_DC_GAIN=0 for large input swing and EQ_DC_GAIN=1 for small input swing.

    If the Input swing is larger than 600mVpp, attenuation is needed(-6dB)

    Contact your TI FAE to escalate this issue on HelpMe platform.
