Hi!
In my recent schematics implementation I connected the MDI interface of the DP83867E to the magnetics and more or less un-purposefully connected 2.5V to the center tapping of the primary side.
I did that as I did it likewise for a 100 BASE TX implementation but didn't re-check again for the 1000 BASE T interface where the datasheet illustrates only the capacitors on the center tap but no connection to Vcc.
Attached is my implementation of the circuit, the left side leads to the PHY MDI interface (also with the centertap to 2V5 and the capacitors) and the right side of the magnetics leads to the RJ45 connector.
My question now is, do I have a problem here, will this still work or do I have an issue with the 2V5 being connected to the center tap?
