DS90CR216A: Rx Out Skew

Part Number: DS90CR216A

Please could you let me know the typical / maximum RxOut bit-to-bit skew for a DS90CR216A? The datasheet gives figures for setup / hold with respect to clock, but I need to know the RxOut skew for our application. We will be running with a 50MHz clock.

 Best regards,

Gordon.

  • Hi Gordon,

We are looking into this and will provide an answer soon.

  • Hi Dennis,

Has there been any progress on this yet?  We're in layout for this design, and it would be really helpful to know whether we'll meet the timing budget before we place an order, or end up having to change the component.

    Regards,
    Gordon.

  • Hi Gordon,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your inquiry. As you have seen in the datasheet, TI only guarantees the setup and hold times as referenced in the Switching Characteristics table. Are you able to share the timing budget that you have available?

In addition, I can review the production test data distribution for recent lots to give you an idea of the shift in setup and hold times among the data bits. Please note that this would be a typical representation. Please let me know if this would be valuable to you.

    Regards,
    Ryan
