DP83867IS: DP83867IS - 10BASE-Te operation: effect when 10M_SGMII_RATE_ADAPT set to '0'?

Could you please help with the below question:

we use the DP83867IS in SGMII mode, combined with 10mbit line rate.

In accordance to the datasheet, the 10M_SGMII_RATE_ADAPT bit in the 10M_SGMII_CFG register is set to '0' for this mode.

What is the effect if we leave 10M_SGMII_RATE_ADAPT set '0' on phy operation at 100mbit and 1000mbit line rate?

I have seen the below existing posts that are related to this but seems to discuss about when the 10M_SGMII_RATE_ADAPT is set to '1':
