Our customer,Wistron, used TPS25810, but they have HP part number, and don't know old TPS25810, and new TPS25810 on pin9,10 design.
Could you reply the question?
1. If 2017 project Type-C DFP controller used 074.25810.0A73, but Pin9 & Pin10 connect with GND independently. The Type-C function can normal working or not?
2. What’s TPS25810RVCR different for 074.25810.0073 & 074.25810.0A73?

Would you be able to elaborate on your question more? I do not what 074.25810.0073 & 074.25810.0A73 are.
As far as the function for pins 9 and 10, they are reference pins for internal current. You can just connect them together as shown in the first diagram.

Looking through the old datasheet you sent me, I believe it will work but I am not 100% certain of it. The different between the old revision and new one is that pin 9 was a GND pad on the old IC and on the newer IC, pin 9 is a reference connection. However, for both designs pin 10 is connected to pin 9 via a 100k resistor. Personally, I would not place the new IC in place of the old one because having the REF_RTN connected to ground could cause issues.
