Like previous users here I am trying to use a TUSB1002 to connect a PC to a USB3 camera.
Setup is as follows: PC-->redriver cable is 3m SS USB3, and redriver-->Camera cable is 25cm Type A/Mini-B.
AC-coupling capacitors on Tx lines only.
My current settings are:
- CH1_EQ (receive from camera, transmit to PC via 3m cable) - 7.1 dB @ 5GHz
- CH2_EQ (receive from PC via 3m cable, transmit to camera) - 11.1 dB @ 5GHz
- CFG - Setting #16 (1200mV, CH1 GAIN=+1dB, CH2 GAIN=0dB)
What is the recommendation for the EQ and CFG settings? I failed to understand from TI's literature the link between a standard USB3 cable's length and a "rule of thumb" setting.
I configured the EQ and CFG according to my minor understanding, but USB3 fails with all the cables I tested and camera keeps shifting to USB 2.
