LMH1218: Device Register settings vs. IBIS-AMI model parameter settings

Part Number: LMH1218

EOM_window: When capturing eye opening, this register sets length of time for each cell to capture eye hits. This is register 0x2A

However, The simulation parameter EOM_window is a float (default 1000) while this register is one Byte 0-256

Shouldn't this be 0x25 0x26 Eye Opening Monitor hits?

The Register description for 0x2A units don't match :

EOM timer for how long to check each phase/voltage setting

vs.

The Parameter Description:

EOM_window: Parameter used to control the number of bits used for EYE measurement. Default is set to 1000 bits.

  • Hi Jay,

    These are two different things:
1). Reg 0x2A - as you noted - is the length of time that LMH1218 device uses to capture number of hits for each 64 by 64 cells.
2). On the other hand, EOM_WINDOW is the number of bits IBIS-AMI model uses for it's simulation or to capture eye diagram.
