Dear all,

In notebook application, the type C power is set as DRP.

Customer test with two notebook, when the two port connected together, which one will be the source or sink, what is the process?

    Hi John,

    It's completely random when two DRP ports are connected together. It depends upon the availibility of the Rp/Rd at the instant when connection is made, which is again random.

    However, in case of one of the port prefers to take up a particular role (source or sink) then it will take up that role and the second port will take up the compliomentary role.
