Help identifying a transistor that's missing a part number

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ULN2003A

I'm trying to identify a transistor that is missing the part number.  I've just replaced the transistor in the background of the attached picture, which is a ULN2003A.  I presume the transistor I'm pointing to is similar, but I don't have a part number or schematic.  Is there any way to figure out what this part number should be?  I've contacted the manufacturer, and they weren't able to help.  This circuit board controls LEDs that indicate when a circuit is energized.

  • Hello Steve,

Well that's a real challenge!  Not sure how you can find a device type without some identifying markings.  I recommend you look for a schematic of the pcb assembly, there seems to be some identifying markings on the board, perhaps even the manufacturer.

And what you are pointing to is an IC, most likely not a transistor.

    Good luck in your search!

    Regards,
