TPS65987D: Flashing Problems

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987

Hi Team,

we were already in contact regarding the flashing via TPS65987. With your last idea we got further:

We don't get the error messages with the changed offsets anymore.

The flash is beeing programmed but we do get multiple error messages:

The number of mismatched bytes is varying from 12815 to 12820.

Clock and Datasignal are looking good.

Any ideas what could be the reason?

Best regards

Simon

  • Hi Simon,

Does the customer have a SPI Flash on their board now? The Host I/F FW update will update the firmware that is on the SPI Flash. If there is no Flash on the board, they should use the PTCs, PTCd, and PTCc commands to update the patch when booting. This is highlighted in this app note: www.ti.com/.../slva972.pdf

Additionally, a Low Region image should be used for this, not a full-flash image.

    Thank you,
    Eric
