Dear TI Experts,

I am now using DS90UB964, and we need four cameras to look back~

If the camera 1 is opened, then I open the camera 2,Will this leads to a discontinuous picture of the camera 1?

Can the four cameras be synchronous?

And if their is any way that DS90UB964 can check input signal exceptions

Hello Qianqian,

Can you explain to me what you mean by "four cameras to look back"? Maybe you have a system block diagram you can share to help illustrate the use case you are trying to accomplish.

Hello,

You can use the frame sync that is available on the 964 device. Section 8.4.18 Frame Sync Operation in the datasheet should help explain how that can be done.

And does DS90UB964 have the ability to check the abnormal input signal?

What do you mean by "camera 1 is opened and then I open camera 2?" My understanding is that all 4 cameras are connected and opened simultaneously.

The 964 has some error detection methods that are supported by the MIPI CSI-2 protocol.

Hello Mostafa,
If I use Best-Efford RR mode, and I have set four input channels(four cameras)

When their is no signal in one of the four cameras,can the other three cameras work well(forwarding well)?

Hello Qianqian,

If one camera is not sending signal the other cameras will still function.
