DS90UH925QSEVB: Dev board device appears, but dev board doesn't appear in ALP

Part Number: DS90UH925QSEVB
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP, , DS90UB926QSEVB

I have a DS90UH925QSEVB that I'm using with a DS90UB926QSEVB for evaluation, but I'm having trouble getting the DS90UH925QSEVB to show up in ALP.  The DS90UB926QSEVB  works fine in ALP, and I can modify registers etc without issue.

When I connect the DS90UH925QSEVB in ALP, the ALP Nano USB 1 device shows up in the Devices panel, but the DS90UH925QSEVB does not appear under it - I've installed the drivers per the help in ALP, so I don't think that is the issue.

  • Jacob,

Please try and let us know:
    a) In the above situation, could you again try to choose EEPROM setup, select DS90UH925 and then write the EEPROM?
    b) Please double check under Device Manager there's no uninstalled board/driver showing up. This special "Have disk" cypress driver installation has to be done for each port connected with a board.
    c) With only UH926 board connected to PC ALP, were you able to access UH925 and its registers from ALP under remote registers tab?

    Thanks,
    Vishy
  • Hi Vishy,

Writing the EEPROM seems to have fixed my issue.  For completeness, I tried using the remote registers tab when connected to the UB926 but this error message came up:

    Thanks!

  • Jacob,

In Info tab as part of the "Partner Information" you should see UB925 as the partner device. That's also not showing up. Please make sure 925 and 926 EVMs are linked over the FPD III port as described in the UB926 EVM user guide and you should see lock led on the UB926EVM lit.

    Thanks,
    Vishy
