Hello Team,

we only need to charge with 5V. Is it possible to shut down any parts of TPS65981 which are not required for high current/voltage charging?

According to our understanding the TPS65981 needs to be in reset during SPI Flash (on board) programming. Is that correct?

On the EVM it also works without keeping the part in reset…Can you clarify, please?

    Hi Hans,

    There's no need to shut down anything in TPS65981 or the EVM to support 5V only. The all you need to do is to edit the configuratio settings to support only 5V PDO and you're done.

    There's no need to keep EVM TPS65981 in reset however if you see any issues then you can keep it in reset.
