Dear TI Experts,

I am now using DS90UB925, and from the datasheet,it supports 18bit or 24bit RGB Signal~

I'd like to know can 925 support 16bit RGB Signal?

Cause my SOC can only support parallel output of RGB565~

Hello Qianqian,
UB925 is one Serializer, it converts the parallel inputs (up to 24bits) to serial signal. if you use 16bits, you just select the 16bits of the parallel D0-D24 pins (RGB inputs). but you need pay attention to the de-serializer side which need know the 16bits which is transmitted in the UB925 side.
btw, for new design, we would ask you use UB921 to replace UB925.

Thank you very much for your quick response~

I find that the Pixel clock of 921 is wider than 925, Is it the reason to use 921 for new design?
If 85MHz is enough for my design, need I change to 921?
