Hello Ann,

If you look within the TPS65988 datasheet, and go to section "9.2.1.2.4 VBUS Snubber Circuit", this outlines how to implement a snubber circuit on VBUS.

Thanks for reply! May I know why the combination is 3.48ohm and 4.7uF? Do we have equation for it? Thanks a lot!

Hello Ann,

We ran a simulation to come up with the values shown in the datasheet. Why these values are chose is described within the datasheet, highlighted below. We recommend that if the customer wishes to use a snubber circuit, to use the values shown below. If not, than a TVS diode can be used such as the TVS2200.
