Hi team,

1. What does ES1 device and production device mean? Why R111 is different in two configuraions?

2.  What value should I use in real application? 

3. Does the high level of HPD have to be greater than 2.2V?  Why can our main board be powered up under 1.7V?

    ES1 is engineer sample, you should follow the guideline for the production device.

    Hot plug detection threshold is 2.2V measured at 51k series resistor, so voltage on HPD has to be higher than 2.2V in order for SN65DSI86 to detect a valid hot plug insertion.
