DS90UB954-Q1: camera flick issue

Hello,

for 1.5m cable it is recommended to use the default register values for AEQ.
Also you can use our MAP tool to evaluate link margin and eye condition by manually sweeping EQ Level and strobe position and monitoring for loss of lock or errors. You can look at this app note for more information:

I tried the default value of AEQ register.

The flicker issue still occur frequently.

I try to set register 0xD5 to value 0x43, it occurs rarely.

Is that setting OK?

did you try the MAP Tool as I told you in the previous post? MAP tool is developed to analyze your link and give you the best SFilter and AEQ settings.

We find if we set 954 register 0x58[2:0]. Set bit [2:0] to 101,the flicker issue will less than default seting,what's the diffrence of this ?does this related FPD_Link rate? if yes ,what's the Calculation formula between back channel frequency with FPD_Link rate？

Peiyq,

yes, changing these register bits will change your back channel rate and as result the forward channel rate and the used frequency range.

If your default is 110 (50Mbps) and you change it to 101 (25Mbps), that means you are changing the BC frequency from 50MHz to 25MHz.

The forward channel maximum frequency = BC frequency x 40

In your case 25Mhz x 40 = 1GHz
