DP83TC811EVM: hardware configuration

Part Number: DP83TC811EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529, USB-2-MDIO, DP83TC811

Hi team,

I was a little confused when I read the DP83TC811EVM user's guide.

1. Since there is a MSP430F5529 on the board, what is the MSP430F5529 Launchpad as the user's guide says used for?

2. If I use the EVM and USB-2-MDIO software to do some test,  should I remove both shunt of J25 and J26? I feel the user's guide did not describe it clearly because the first time I used the board, I put the shunt as the user's guide says and it damaged my board when I powered it up.

3. When I use USB-2-MDIO to configure the MDD1 register of dp83tc811, should I click the Extended Register drop-down menu and select NO? The USB-2-MDIO user's guide says I should select YES, but if I select YES, I can not read/write the register correctly. It took me a lot of time to find out the problem. So could you please add some guides in the EVM user's guide so that customer can set up the EVM more easily and quickly?

Thank you very much.
