TCA8418: TCA8418 RESET

Driving /RESET low resets the device. Once /RESET returns high, the device will be initialized and all registers will be in their default values. So, the device will need to be reconfigured in the application after being reset (same as with power-up). Does this describe the behavior you are seeing, or are you having other problems?

Pressing any key will not respond, and the INT pin output will not change to low.

This problem happen while /RESET is high.

I didn't have configured all the device registers.

It operated normally before /RESET goes low.

Just to confirm, then, once you reconfigure the device registers after /RESET goes high does the part operate as expected?

Hi Max,

Reconfiguring the device registers requires the MCU to receive an INT signal and no response is given by pressing any key.

Is the RESET line connected to the MCU?  If so, maybe you could consider the rising edge on this signal as an interrupt that is serviced by re-configuring the TCA8418.
