Tool/software: Linux
Hi TI,
I am using application customization tool with EVM, and I want to load the setting from device.
So I go to Device->Import setting from device->choose FTDI in USB to I2C Adaptor->choose 0x20 and also tried 0x38->test read->
Exception Encountered during I2C Test Read:No FTDI I2C channels (I2C_GetNumChannels) detected, exiting....
<type 'exceptions.Exception'>
Do you know why? I connect USB A to micro B cable with my laptop and also I connect a Type C to C cable from my laptop to EVM.
Is the FTDI (USB to I2C adaptor) refer to FT4232HL on the EVM? Or I need to buy an Aardvark adaptor?
Thanks!
cheers

Hi Fan,
Do you have the EVM powered on when you are doing this test? It seems that your computer is not detecting the FTDI correctly. This could also be an issue with the FTDI drivers on your PC. The installer for the TPS6598x Application Customization Tool included a few different driver versions for the FTDI. These can be found under Program Files --> Texas Instruments --> TPS6598x Application Customization Tool. I would suggest uninstalling the FTDI drivers and installing one of the different versions. This has been successful in resolving this in the past.
Thank you,
Eric
