DS90CF386: Inquiry About DS90CF386(Jitter specification )

Part Number: DS90CF386

Dear Support Center,

There are four additional questions.

Q1) If the clock frequency is not 85 MHz, will the jitter range be the same as 85 MHz?

       For example, 25MHz, 54MHz, 65MHz.

Q2) Does DS90CF386 support Spread Spectrum Clocking?

Q3) If Spread Spectrum Clocking is enabled, do we need to comply with the jitter standard (150 ps)?

Q4) There are two statements in the datasheet about Jitter, which one should we judge?

[6.6 Switching Characteristics] : clock jitter (less than 150 ps).

[Figure 13. Receiver LVDS Input Skew Margin] : Cycle-to-cycle jitter depends on the Tx source. Clock jitter should be maintained to less than 250 ps at 85 MHz

  • Sorry, I thought I replied to this thread but double checking I don't see my response.

    In answer to your question:

Q1) Jitter range will not be the same as 85MHz

Q2) If it is not stated in the datasheet it is not supported

    Q3) Yes

Q4) Follow: [6.6 Switching Characteristics] : clock jitter (less than 150 ps).

    Regards,
