Linux/DS90UB925Q-Q1: Internal Pattern Generation with external video timing

Tool/software: Linux

I have tested the Internal Pattern Generation with internal video timing on UB925.This has been successful

Now ,I want to test the Internal Pattern Generation with external video timing on UB925.I have entered HS, VS, DE, PCLK signals on the 925 pin.

But,This time I can get nothing on my LCD.

I have config UB925 like this:

0x03=0xab

0x04=0x8a

0x12=0x4a

0x65=0x01

0x64=0x01

Should I config some othe registers ?

Hello Chengbo,

I don't think any additional configuration should be needed. What is the PCLK frequency and does the deserializer have lock when you are running this test?

1.Which configuration is necessary?

2.The PCLK frequency inputing the UB925 is 75.002MHZ.

3.Deser is packaged, I can't test it.

Chengbo,

If you already had PATGEN working with internal timing, then there really shouldn't be any configuration needed to switch to external timing besides changing the PATGEN timing selection bit. Can you please try enabling PATGEN with internal timing but external PCLK?

0x65 = 0x0D

Please verify if that also works correctly before moving forward.
