Hi there,
Please help confirm if 65987 can be set to 5V 5A? The current 5V 3A is a bit small (customers have to ask for some additional features.)
What is the loss when SWITCH is turned on?
Thanks!
Eason

Hi Eason Yuan,
You can use 5V/5A using the TPS65987D with the PD specification. With regards to the power losses over the path the value is (P = i^2 * RDSon). Important to notice here that the value of RDSon depends on the ambient temperature of the system. For more information refer to the datasheet for the TPS65987D. Thank you for using E2E.
