DS90UB954-Q1: CRC and Parity errors on 0x4D when first connecting deserialiser with serialiser

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Is it reasonable to expect occassional BCC_CRC_Error (Bit5 Register 0x4D) or Parity errors (Bit2 Register 0x4D) when first connecting a DS90UB954-Q1 deserialiser to a compatible serialiser?

If yes are there recommended steps to help avoid this?

    Hello Tim,

    Yes this is expected. The first recommendation is to power up the serializer first before powering up the deserializer. Also, you can check for the lock flag and the trigger a reset of the devices after that or clear the error counts after that initial lock.
