Hi,

Good day.

Our customer wants to enable/disable the ports during runtime, not boot, using SMBus. Would it be possible to do this? If yes, we will appreciate if you could help us.

    Hi Cedrick,

    No, this is not a capability of the hub.  Hubs are USB slave devices and will only turn on / off power to ports based on commands from the USB host.

    In addition, the TUSB8041A hubs can only enable / disable a port at power on reset - not during runtime.
