TPS65982: Sink mode CC state is not correct

I have a same question with Satoshi

When I use MCU to configure TPS65982 as Sink mode by I2C, the CC pins is in toggle state. I think it should be presented on Rd and keep at low voltage level.

And I read the 0x69 register, Type-C Port State sometime is SNK_STATE_UNATTACHED_SNK, sometime is SNK_STATE_UNATTACHED_ACCESSORY.

I want to know this is caused by a wrong TPS65982 FW configure, or it's caused by wrong I2C command?

Hi Picher,

It seems like you may be in a sink with accessory support mode, which will toggle the CC pins. I would suggest to change your System Configuration Register, 0x28, configuration in the GUI. Specifically, the PortInfo bits to 000b which is a standard sink power mode if that is how you would like for it to be configured, because it seems like it's set to 001b at the moment.

I think I have configure the 0x28 PortInfo to 000b, figure below shows the FW configuration.

Hi Picher,

It seems like you may have selected, 010b in your configuration. I will share with you another option below. This option may fix the issue. It will present R_d but no DRP, so it shouldn't toggle the CC pins.
