TUSB7320: GRST question

Part Number: TUSB7320

Two questions about TUSB7320:

  • Does the global reset pin reset the PCIe bus (requiring renumeration)?
  • Is the global reset pin an output during startup?  Or does it always act as an input?

  • Below is feedback we previously received; please confirm it's accurate?

1)The /GRST terminal of the TUSB7320 is a I/O cell, so it has to be configured as an input or as an output, using a I/O cell for this terminal is a design decision, the host performs this configuration automatically.

It is important to hold the /GRST asserted until all power rails are stable to let the device perform this configuration.

    2) The device can’t work without a Global Reset signal at power-up.

  • yes, it's accurate.
