Dear Sir/Madam,
Although currently the custoemr is interfacing to 18 bits LCD, In order to reserved for future expansion, the cust would like to direct connect the R6,R7, G6,G7,B6,B7 directly. Can I know will thise cause any potential issue? Will this introduce signal noise to the image even no signals is driving R6,R7, G6,G7,B6,B7???
Thx, hope to hear from you soon.
Hello
I do not understand what you mean by direct connect. But if you are not using these pins, you can leave them floating (NC)
Thanks
Vijay
Hi Vijay,
That is if end cust want to have a single board to support 18 bit and 24 bits output. In that case, their connection will be all the 24 lines including lines R6,R7, G6,G7,B6,B7 directly connected to LCD. In this configuration, if they are using the same board but output only 18 lines, will there be any influent and signal noise since R6,R7, G6,G7,B6,B7 is not being used in 18 bits configuration?
Best regards,
kpk
Hello
These 'unused' 8 bits will continue to toggle and it is upto the LCD panel to disregard these signals. There would not be any cross talk within our IC but we cant speak for what or how these are dealt with in the panel.
Thanks
