DS90LV804: Input While Power Down

So it is possible that if the VOD from your source driving the DS90LV804 is less than 300mV and greater than 100mV that you should NOT have any major concern.

Hi David-san,

The DS90LV804 receives LVDS signal while power down. DS90LV804 has -0.3V to VDD + 0.3V absolute maximum LVDS input. I think LVDS input signal with VOS=1.18V while power off damages the device. My customer cannot use ac couple. 8B/10B conversion is also difficult for his application. Again, is DS90LV804 right device to recommend? Does TI have LVDS buffer/repeater with power down protection?

What you need is high impedance on the input when device is powered down. Please take a look at SN65LVDS22: Would this meet their requirement?

SN65LVDS22 meets their electric requirement, but they don't like the price.
What if DS90LV047A and DS90LV048A are connected together to form quad channel LVDS buffer?
Does it work as a quad channel LVDS buffer with input high impedance?
