Hi TI team,

From reading related topics about 953 latency, you state that latency of the device is in the order of us. are there documentation to support this? since only GPIO latency is provided in the datasheet. we also need to now and compute for the image data latency. preferably:

1. from MIPI input of the 953 to DOUT of 953

2.from MIPI input of 953 to MIPI output of 960 (based on your recommended design or EVK modules)

Surely you have this tested on product qualification. Looking forward to you response.

Hello Laud,

The latency through the 953/960 pathway is dominated by the line buffer inside the deserializer which is up to 2 lines. Latency through the 953 is very small compared to this or the prop delay through the cable.

For example, if your video line time is 20us, then your total latency from CSI-2 input at 953 to CSI-2 output at 960 should be on the order of 20x20us = ~40us. So it depends on your video line time for your specific application.
