Hello Danish,
for my understanding, you are using single link between 949 and 948. Also you are using 1x oLDI interface at the output of the 948, correct?
What is the PCLK at the 949 Input?
What is the PCLK at the output of the 948? is the Display configured to work with this PCLK?
What is your video source?
Have you tried any Pattern generator; from the 948 or from the 949?
hallo
can you please tell me what can be the reason for the difference in frequency in 949 and 948 or how can i adjust it if i can
thank you
Hello Danish,
The different in PCLK shown is not an issue. This is measured internally with reference to the internal oscillator of the Ser/Des which has tolerances.
The Pattern generator is not clear to me, but I believe you do have flickering also, correct?
Is this Pattern from the 949 or from the 948?
hello;
yes the pattern Generator is flickering also it is the patern from 948 which is connected to the dosplay. i have soldered the Twisted pair LVDS (from the monitor) to the single pin wires as the board have itself no Twisted pair connector only single connectors. can this be the Problem? no changes have been mabe to the board though.
Hello Danish,
Yes this could be the problem due to not maintained 100 ohm differential pairs and the bad effect on signal quality and signal integrity.
But one last question, did you chose internal clock and internal timing while using the pattern generator from the 948?
Hello ;
i have soldered a 100 ohm resistor between the lines of the Clock only but it dinot give any better result.. yes i have tried Patern generator it with internal Clock.
thanks
hello;
if the Problem is related to the wiring and soldering can you atleast tell me about the connector cable (which connector cable) that i could use with your board as i didnot get any Connection cable with the board. If the Signal is so sensitive i would be expecting a Special cable for the connector with the package.
i have selected the internal timming from the Panel of pattern Generator in ALP software. and the Register 0x65[3] is already unselected (low) which means internal Clock is used
Okay. Thanks for confirming!
This is clearly the soldered interface problem. I believe if you use a clean connection between the interfaces you will not see this issue.
