TFP410: TFP410 can`t output data and clock

HI TI,

I want to consult a problem about use of TFP410.

We are using TFP410 chipset for HDMI data while current data stream is the direction for soc -> ds90ub925 -> ds90ub926 -> TFP410 -> CM2020（function of protection） -> screen of display , but according to the

survey，it is said that TFP410 cannot be used together with ds90ub926 because of lacking of someone`s bridge connection，I don`t know whether it is correct.

On the other hand，I don`t know which TFP410 is used together with，and what condition we still need when TFP410 is used for HDMI data from RGB data ？

Hi Yang Liu,

The TFP410 can be used with the DS90UB925 + DS90UB926 as long as the HDMI stream does not require audio.

Hi Yang,

Is this an issue you're actually having with your application or are you just asking a general question?The TFP410 should be able to output clock/data just fine when connected to the DS90UB926.

Hi Anyiam,

This Is an issue I am having with your application, and I have made the DS90UB926 output RGB, but TFP410 can not output HDMI data.

I ever doubted itself of TFP410, but I2C can work. So could you help me make some suggestions about the problem of TFP410 data output ?

Hi Sen,

Looking at your schematic, you don't need to use the I2C interface for the TFP410 since you have a DE signal. The main reason to use the I2C is to use the DE generator when no DE signal is present.

Can you connect the PD# signal high and leave ISEL connected to GND?
