TPS65987D: DP alt cannot output display

Hi，I have a new design using the TPS65987 + HD3SS460 ,to achieve USB3.0 and DP display through Type-C interface。

The connection diagram is shown below

Now ，the USB3.0 is ok，I have tested it with a USB3.0 disk，prove the speed of USB3.0 is right。

But it unable to output display through a type-c dock（to VGA or HDMI）。What could be the reason for this。How do I debug and what signals should I test。

Please give me some suggestions, thank you.

Does PD protocol trace need a PD analyzer to get it？But now I don't have a PD analyzer。

So is there any other way to analyze this problem？

I had share the schematic and project file.Please help to analyze the possible reasons？

Hello,

You can use Appconfig tool for some level of debugging. Please go through 5 DisplayPort Status Registers and 4CC Commands of http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva844b/slva844b.pdf.

Please probe HD3SS460 control signals and ensure that the pins status match with the DP mode.

Please work with HD3SS460 team on the signal flow part of the schematic.
