DS160PR410: eval board user guide SNLU252A conflicts with data sheet

Part Number: DS160PR410

Data sheet specifies the resistors to be used for the L0-L3 levels as being 1K, 13K and 59K

In the eval board user guide SNLU252A figure 11, the resistors used for setting the I2C adders match the values above.

However, the resistors used for setting the levels for VOD_DS are 249, 3.24K and 14.7K

Same figure 11, the resistors for setting GAIN and RXDET are 14.7K

Could explain which values I should use?

  • Hi Traian,

When multiple inputs are tied together the external resistor needs to compensate for the added resistive/current load.  For example if one VOD_DS input uses a 1K resistor tied to GND.  Connecting two VOD_DS inputs together would need a 500 ohm resistor. While 4 VOD_DS inputs would use a 250 ohm resistor.

That is why the EVM user guide uses lower values.

    Regards,
