DS25CP102Q-Q1: TjMax differrent between Autmotive (105°C) and insdustrial (150°C) Version

Hi Team,

In Industrial Version (DS25CP102TSQ/NOPB) Tj Max = 150°C,
but in automotive Version (DS25CP102QSQ/NOPB) TjMax = 105°C,
while these 2 Parts are same die and the same package, Why?
Can you tell me the difference between automotive and industrial version please?

is it a topology Error? Tj Max = 150°C in these two components.

Hi Yang,

Across operating temperature range, automotive version avoids junction temperature rise above 105degC. While industrial version junction temperature can rise above this level and there could be accelerated aging. With industrial version, there are applications where this accelerated aging is acceptable.

Thanks for the answer, but both components are same package, same die, same Functions, same data in datasheet, then junction temperature will be the same, no?

or the difference of TjMax is due to AEC-Q normes?

Hi Nasser,

Sorry but your colleagues have told me that, there is the same wafer Fab, assembly site and die revision for these 2 components

i think the die is similar. Can you check please?

Hi Pascal,

I did further check on this and my earlier statement is incorrect.

The die was re-qualified for auto version and there has not been any die change. For long term reliability in automotive applications recommended operating TjMax is 105degC.
