DS90UB948-Q1: Whether 948 could support Odd and Even Display

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

Hi Team,

May I ask whether 948 could support Odd and Even display as the attached?

Thanks!

  • Hello Amelie,

Normally the 948 should be paired with a dual Serializer such as the 947 or 949. Then the SOC needs to merge two images into a single super image by interleaving their pixels. Each odd pixel from the super image would be transmitted to the display connected to the Serializer's FPD3 port0 while each even pixel would be transmitted to the display connected to the Serializer's FPD3 port1.  If the Serializer is configured with dual-oLDi inputs, the odd pixels would be transmitted on the oLDI input port0 while the even pixels would be transmitted on the oLDI input port1.

  • Hi Hamzeh,

    Not really.

Customer only use 949 and 948.

948 could output two group of LVDS signal.

My question is whether 948 could support the following format?

In the following format, there are two group of LVDS. One is only transfer EVEN; Another is ODD. EVEN and ODD is separate.

  • Hello Amelie,

Can you explain what do you mean by "group of LVDS"?

Nevertheless, In the 948, if you are using Dual-Link OLDI output, then the input RGB data is split into odd and even pixels starting with the ODD (first) pixel outputs D0 to D3 and then the EVEN (second) pixel outputs D4 to D7.
