Dear SIR:
Good day!!
May I have some question regarding MAX3221CPWR as below question ?
(1)MAX3221CPWR pin3 (V+) how to connect ? (for example 1 and 2 ,which one is correct ? or ,....)
(for example 1: MAX3221CPWR pin3 (V+) through a 0.1uf cap. connect to +3.3V )
(for example 2: MAX3221CPWR pin3 (V+) through a 0.1uf cap. connect to GND )
(2) as above for example 1 and 2 ,Have any different for application or consider,if both are correct ?)
(3)"MAX3221CPWR can replace MAX3243ECDBR" and " MAX3243ECDBR can replace MAX3221CPWR" ?
(change another word:"Original circuit use MAX3221CPWR can directly change to MAX3243ECDBR ,drop in capable ?"
and "Original circuit use MAX3243ECDBRR can directly change to MAX3221CPWR ,drop in capable ?" )
(4)Have any application different between MAX3243ECDBR and MAX3243ECDBR ?
(change another word: what's condition necessary use MAX3243ECDBR and what's condition necessary use MAX3243ECDBR ? )
Thanks
Hi,
1) V+ pin cap can be connected to GND or Vcc. If you're interested in the detail, please refer to this blog.
e2e.ti.com/.../how-the-rs-232-transceiver-s-regulated-charge-pump-circuitry-works
2) Either way is correct.
3) I'm not sure how the change could happen either way. MAX3243E is a 28 pin device with 3TX/5RX, which MAX3221 is 16 pin with 1TX/1RX.
4) I assume you asked the difference between MAX3243E and MAX3221. They're both RS-232 transceivers. Which device to choose depends on the application, like channel number, data rate, ESD level, etc.
Regards,
Hao
