this is a follow up question to DP83848I: No link, stuck during Auto-MDIX.
One of our customer still reports link issues. We suggested him to use the solution from the thread mentioned above. I'm still wating for an answer from the customer but in the meantime we tried something different:
- We took one of the electronics that had this issue and replaced the PHY with a very old one from our storage. It dates back to aprox. 2011 when this electonics was developed.
- After this change, the link issues were completely gone!
So, have there been any significant changes or chip revisions that might explain this change in behavior?
