Hi team,

What is difference betweent DP83826I and DP83826E? Just Op Temp (°C)?

I saw DP83826 support ENHANCED Mode and BASIC Mode.

As for ENHANCED Mode, I saw the datasheet "Table 3". ENHANCED Mode can't support Speed selection =10M.

Is it right?

I also saw many function don't support in ENHANCED Mode, like "MII isolate enable and disable" ; "Half or full duplex selection".

Why does not they support?

Why this chip consider to support ENHANCED Mode and BASIC Mode? DP83822 don't have this choice.

Hi Eggsy,

ENHANCED mode supports 10M through register configuration.

Does your customer require MII isolate? Half/full duplex mode can also be done through register configuration.

The DP83826 has this new feature to select between ENHANCED and BASIC as the BASIC mode is a standard Ethernet mode that uses a common Ethernet pinout.

2. Customer don't need MII isolate. I just want to know how to work when MII isolate?

That is correct it is temperature range based on customer need for larger temp range in application.

MII Isolate is typically only used for debugging purposes and can also prevent any transmission from PHY to MAC but maintain link between device.
