In the s4p files, which ports are the inputs and outputs?

Is there a place I can look for more information on the models?

Hi Ethan,

Here is the model TI_SN65LVCP114_AMI_users_guide.pdfUser Guide

For the RX_PKG ports 1/2 are inputs and 3/4 are the outputs.

For the RX_TERM ports 1/2 are the inputs and 3/4 are the outputs

For the TX_PKG ports 1/2 are the inputs and 3/4 are the outputs

So the simulation would connect TX -> Channel -> RX_PKG -> RX_TERM -> LVCP114 IBIS -> TX_PKG -> Channel -> RX

I have another question.

If I'm using ADS, what component would I use for the IBIS file?

ADS can't put the IBIS file into the ReDriver_AMI or the Tx_AMI. The IBIS file can only be used for the Rx_AMI component.

Hi Ethan,

Yes, this is a relative older and limited AMI model. It only includes the Rx AMI information so it can only be used as an RX_AMI component.
