DP83848I: termination resistor

Hi team,

What's the termination resistor value I should use for MII termiantion? In datasheet it says 50Ohm, while in SNLA106B it recommend 33Ohm.

Also the resistor should be placed near the signal source pin right?

Hi George,

I would recommend a 50-ohm resistor, while either a 33-ohm or 50-ohm series termination resistor is acceptable along MII output signals. The purpose is to improve EMI/EMC performance of the device.

The resistor should be placed near the PHY.
