Dears

we have a customer want to use the SN75ALS197 or SN65HVD30 as the receiver of AM26C31, will this possible. if we want to design a receiver for AM26C31, is there some consideration for it? thanks.

    Hi Jason,

    These parts are all compatible. One thing you can check to verify is to see whether the transmitter and receiver are specified to support similar physical layer standards (for example, RS-422 or RS-485). From the datasheet specifications, the most important thing is to verify the transmitter output amplitude is larger than the receiver input thresholds.
