Hi Team,
May I know the differential output frequency/bandwidth limit of AM26C31? Customer is evaluate this part and they want to know if it can support 8MHz.
And which parameter should we refer to in the datasheet about this spec?
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Livia
Hey Livia,
Section 6.7 (pg. 6) of the datasheet details the switching characteristics of this line driver. The minimum propagation delay time from low to high and high to low is 3 ns each. This would give you a theoretical maximum switching rate of ~166 Mhz. So you would be able to run this device very comfortably at 8Mhz.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Best,
Chris
Livia,
Another data point is AM26LV31E works with 32MHz. Both AM26LV31E and AM26C31 have the similar rise/fall time (5ns typ, 10ns max).
